On November 18, 2023, in Washington, DC. Dear wife for 72 years of James C. McKay, until his death in 2015. Mother of James C. McKay, Jr., Patricia Anne McKay, and Robert H. McKay. Grandmother of Daniel F. McKay, Katherine A. McKay, and Janna McKay Hering. Daughter of the late Colonel Rosser Lee Hunter (Inspector General of the First Army) and Katherine Munson Hunter. She was the president of the Woman’s Club of Chevy Chase (1977-79). She was also co-chair of the Club’s Drama Section and was involved in numerous plays presented by the Club. She was named the Maryland Clubwoman of the Year in 1999. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 9 at 11:00 am at Joseph Gawler’s Sons Funeral Home, 5130 Wisconsin Ave., NW.
