Gina (Pasquini) (Salvi) Damiano, 83, died Sunday evening, September 11, 2022, of complications associated with dementia. Gina was known to many in Washington, DC, through her skilled fashion design and tailoring talents. Salvi of Florence, which she owned with her late husband Nunzio Salvi, made thousands of Washingtonians look and feel their best. Later in life, Gina supported Camillo in running his upper NW barbershop, continuing to make Washingtonians look and feel great. Gina delighted in her six grandchildren and step-grandchildren, and her huge Italian family in the U.S., Canada, and Italy. Dozens of her son’s friends, classmates and colleagues feasted at Gina’s table, where she always managed to surprise them with one or more extra courses of food. Gina leaves behind her son Lucantonio N. Salvi (Tania Chomiak-Salvi), her spouse Camillo Damiano, stepdaughter Angela Holder (John) and grandchildren Paul, Stephen, Ashley, Lucas, Johanna, Ava. Funeral Mass on Friday, September 16, 10:00 am, at the Holy Rosary Church, 595 3rd St NW, Washington, DC; with internment to follow.
