Clara Josefina Bullos was born in Caracas, Venezuela on January 1st, 1942, and she passed away in Virginia on December 26th, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Carlos Bullos and Clara Tutsnak de Bullos of Caracas, Venezuela. She is survived by her brother Carlos E. Bullos (Mercedes), nieces and nephews Carlos G (Mariana), Juan D, Mercedes (Jaime Cabanilla), and Atilano (Gabriela), her cousin Louise E. Bridges (William), daughter Marielena (Brian), her grandchildren Sabrina, Alexander and David, and many cousins in Venezuela. She was a graduate of the Sacred Heart Schools and American University. She worked for the late President of Venezuela Rafael Caldera (1969-1974), the Embassy of Venezuela, Ashoka and 1718 Investments. She faithfully and selflessly served many years as a Sacristan at the Church of the Little Flower in Bethesda, Maryland, and was awarded Cardinal Wuerl’s Manifesting the Kingdom Award in 2011 for her dedicated service to her congregation at Little Flower.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to either Mental Health America, or to The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse. Clara would have benefitted from the services of either organization, so we hope that we may honor her name by helping someone else.
Her funeral service will take place at the Church of the Little Flower on January 17th, 2020 at 12 pm and a private burial will follow.
