Raymond J. Sullivan, Sr., 80, passed away September 15, 2022.
He was the beloved husband of Maureen S. (McKennedy) Sullivan for 49 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Dennis F. and Mary F. (O’Shea) Sullivan and the loving father of the late Raymond J. Sullivan Jr.
Ray was the brother of Francis D. Sullivan and Maureen O’Donnell.
Ray served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He traveled the world having been aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise aircraft carrier. He was an avid golfer and loved to garden. He also enjoyed many years coaching RJ’s basketball teams.
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 9-11 a.m. with a service to follow at 11 a.m. in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Burial with military honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org/donate
