Delia Mary Clarkin

Born in Providence, she was daughter of the late Albert and Bridget (O’Grady) Ball. Delia graduated from St. Mary Academy – Bay View before enrolling in the Junior College of Rhode Island (n/k/a CCRI), where she received her associate degree in arts.

After graduation Delia worked in the mortgage department at Old Stone Bank before taking several years off to raise her family full time. After returning to the workforce she worked in numerous roles in the local school systems before eventually retiring as a Teacher’s Aide in the South Kingston school system.

Delia was the devoted and loving mother to Jeanie A. of Narragansett, Brian M. of Narragansett, and Daniel A. and his wife Lori Satz-Clarkin of Fort Mill, S.C. She was the proud and loving Nana to Jack,

Alexa, Riley, Sophie, Bailee and Peyton. She is survived by her bothers Albert and Michael and their wives, Sandra and Regina, respectively. She was the aunt and great aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister Jeanie and her niece Margaret Mary Pilkington.

Family and friends may call on the morning of Tuesday August 22 nd at the Russell J. Boyle and SonFuneral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM, with a Mass of ChristianBurial to follow at 10:00 AM at St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett, RI. Burial will be private.
