Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Beverly was the daughter of the late Charles E, and Alice (Krasyne) Bradley.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Melinda Uth, her sons, Matthew Crehan, Joseph MacLEOD, her grandchildren, Kimberly Hopkins, Stacey Slekis, Alicia Uth, Sean Peckenham, her great grandchildren, Hunter, Hayden, Noah, Hailey, Baby Christopher, and her great great grandchildren, Charlotte Rose, and Kacey Christian.
Beverly was employed as an Administrator for the VA hospital system throughout New England.
Educated at the Sacred Heart Academy in Fairhaven, MA; Academy of the Assumption, Wellesley Hills, Ma; graduated from Mansfield Junior High School, Tucson, AZ and Girls High School, Boston, MA.
Beverly was a Hostess on the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad. During a career as a Data Processing Operator, she worked at Boston City Hall during the tenure of the legendary Mayor, James Michael Curley, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the State of Rhode Island, and various private concerns and corporations. Beverly started with the government in 1964 at the Naval Air Station, Quonset Point in the supply department. In 1968 she transferred to the VA Hospital in Providence, as a Medical Clerk; was promoted to Admitting Supervisor in 1974. Beverly was promoted to Chief Ambulatory Care at the VA Medical Center, West Roxbury, MA in 1980. In 1982 she was selected as the first Administrative Officer to the Associate Chief of Staff for Ambulatory Care at the Brockton/West Roxbury Medical Center.
Beverly was a former member of the Board of Director for the Providence VA Medical Center Credit Union, an EEO Counselor at both the Providence and West Roxbury VA Medical Centers, the Treasurer for the Employee’s Association, at the Providence VA Medical Center, and a member of the Rosary and Alter Society at SS John and Paul Church, Coventry.
Beverly was a lifelong learner, who enjoyed taking college courses. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Beverly’s life was dedicated to caring for her family, and making the lives of others as easy, and rewarding as possible. Her biggest joy in life was being surrounded by, and spending time with children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her great great grandchildren.
Visitation Sunday, 4 – 6 PM, in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Rd. Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 9 am at SS. John and Paul Church, 341South Main St., Coventry. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
