Born in Warren, a daughter of the late Norbert and Lydia (Pontes) Nunes she was a lifelong resident of Warren before moving to Bristol and Middletown in recent years.
A graduate of Warren High School, Class of 1948 she attended nursing classes and became a Nurse’s Aide.
A former communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle she was a member of their Rosary and Altar Society and of the RI VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Warren.
She is survived by three daughters, Arlene DiSalvo of Bristol, Ann Marie DiSalvo of Newport and Estelle Dubuc and her husband Paul of Portsmouth; three grandchildren, Emma McKinney, Nathan Dubuc and Tyler Dubuc and nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Anthony Nunes and Mary DeFelice.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 10:00 am in St. Mary of the Bay Parish, 645 Main St., Warren followed by burial in St. Mary of the Bay Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her honor to John Clarke Center, Attn: Activities Fund, 600 Valley Rd., Middletown, RI 02842.
