John had a great sense of humor. He took pride in completing the jobs assigned to him at the Maher Center. John enjoyed outings, especially to the bowling alley and to go swimming. He loved chocolate, going out to eat and spending time with his family. John loved his friends and staff.
Survivors include his sisters, Paula Wagenbach and Irene Martin and husband Eugene Martin, all of Warren. John is also survived by niece Louise Wagenbach and nephews Joe Wagenbach, Brian Martin and Matthew Martin. He is also survived by great nieces and nephews and one great- great niece and nephew. John is predeceased by his parents, brother David Mercier, Brother-in-Law Gary Wagenbach and nephew Micheal Wagenbach. Most importantly John is survived by his family at the James L Maher Center.
His funeral will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 9:30 AM from the Wilbur-Romano Funeral Home, 615 Main St, Warren followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St, Warren. All are welcome to attend. Visitation will be held Saturday from 8:30 – 9:30 AM, prior to the funeral. Burial will be in Saint Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Warren.
