Zuzanna was a truly remarkable lady. At 24, she arrived in the United States to make a home for her beloved Jozef and her two children in Hamtramck. For the next 20 years she was a homemaker and mother. She only spoke Polish and stayed close to her local community. After Jozef died suddenly at 46, Zuzanna went on to learn to drive, got a job at Hudson's Department Store and in the course learned to speak English. She went on to work for 25 years and make a life for herself. Zuzanna was a very social person who made friends wherever she went. She was everyone's grandma (Babcia). She loved her flowers and was an excellent cook. Her specialties included golabki, pierogi, krusciki, and chicken soup. Her homemade pickles were always in great demand. Her accommodating ways and gentle manner will be missed by all who loved her.
Zuzanna was the beloved wife of the late Jozef. Loving mother of Stanley (Victoria) Staniszewski and Daniela (Douglas) Puszcz. Cherished grandmother of Laura (Mark) Ayers, Derek (Samantha) Puszcz, and Matthew (Lauren) Staniszewski. Adored great-grandmother of Rune Ayers, Malea Ayers, Lincoln Puszcz, Nyla Puszcz, and Parker Staniszewski. She was predeceased by her brothers Mieczyslaw, Marian, and Zygmont Cieslik.
Zuzanna will lie In State on Monday, June 10th from 9:30am until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:30am at St. Faustina Catholic Church, 14025 Twelve Mile Rd, Warren, MI 48088. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit. Arrangements entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren.
