Thelma Rose Herd

Rose and her husband Oneil were inseparable for their many, many years together and truly did everything with each other. They were dedicated parishioners of Marantha Church of God in Warren for 50 years where they sang in the choir together. She was a true prayer warrior and sharing her love of God gave her purpose. After 28 years of working at Burger King, she retired. In retirement, she spent most of her time with her family, enjoying every moment she got with them.

Rose is the beloved wife of 75 years to the late Oneil Herd. The loving mother of Danny (Elizabeth) Herd, Karen Katko, Kerry (Cissy) Herd, and Darren (Michele) Herd. Cherished grandmother of Ryan Herd, Rachel Herd, Matthew (Tori) Herd, Jessica Herd, Emily Herd, Tyler (Heather) Herd, and Tori Herd; great grandmother of many. Dear sister of Juanita Crawford and Liz Hammock. She is preceded in death by her parents Luther and Alice Hammock, and her siblings Ellen Crawford, Shirley Kirby, Bob Hammock and Jim Hammock. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A visitation for Rose will be held on Thursday, July 18, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Maranatha Church of God, 13700 Stephens Rd, Warren, Michigan 48089. An instate will occur on Friday, July 19, from 10:00 AM until the time of the funeral at 11:00 AM, 13700 Stephens Rd, Warren, Michigan 48089.
