Ronald M. DeMeyer

Ronald attended Grosse Pointe South High School and graduated in the first graduating class. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy and became a Gunner’s Mate 2nd Class on the guided heavy missile cruiser USS Canberra CAG-2. He was involved in the Cuban Missile blockade. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned back to his short order cook job at Hudson’s. Little did he know, his future wife, Patricia had already experienced love at first sight. They were married in May of 1964 and enjoyed a 55 year marriage.

Ron was the loving father of Brian DeMeyer (Sandra), the late baby Joseph and the late baby Todd. Beloved grandfather of Lauren, Rachel and Ryan. Also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Ron’s family will hold a Visitation from 2:00pm-8:00pm on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd., Warren (Schoenherr/Masonic). A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00am on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at St. Malachy Catholic Church, 14115 14 Mile Rd., Sterling Heights. Visitation at church begins at 10:30am.
