Peggy Gean Majeske was born in Cave-In-Rock, Illinois, on Mother’s Day, May 8, 1938. She is predeceased by her husband, Leonard, whom she was married to for 60 years until his passing. She was the only child of the late Noah and Ival (nee Lile) Palmer.
She had a rewarding life with many friends and family. She took pride in her work as a manager for Brownberry Bread Outlet. She loved creating crafts and utilized her skills at many events, craft shows, and family celebrations. Years ago, when microwaves were first introduced, Peggy began teaching microwave cooking classes, doing demos, and speaking at conferences using recipes we still make.
Peggy and Leonard were founding members of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Warren, Michigan, in 1960. Their first services was held at Green Acres Elementary School, and they would sit on Ryan Road and watch the church being built until its opening in 1962. Peggy was very dedicated to Holy Cross and volunteered to give generously of her time until she was physically unable to do so.
She is beloved by many family members. Loving mother of Ronald (Laureen) Majeske, Thomas (Linda) Majeske, and Vickie (Ronald) Kopy. Cherished grandmother of Darienne, Sean and Shea Majeske, Jeffrey Majeske, Mackenzie (Alex) Smoots, Chelsey (Martin) Kramer, Kara (Ryan) Lohmann, Bree Kopy, Nathan Kopy, and the late Robby Majeske. Great grandmother of Declan and Alayna Majeske, Elijah and Bennett Smoots, and Dylan Lohmann.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19th, 2024 from 2pm to 8pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic Blvd in Warren. Instate Friday, December 20th from 10 until time of Funeral Service at 11am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 30003 Ryan Road, Warren. Interment and committal service will be held on Friday, December 20th, 2024, at 3pm at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, 38425 Garfield Rd, Clinton Twp.
