Nancy A. Stark, age 94 of Warren, died Thursday, April 12, 2012 at the Clinton Aire Healthcare Center in Clinton Township, Michigan. She was born on April 19, 1917 in Sessor, Illinois, daughter of the late Thomas and the late Anna (nee: Hanna) Stark.Nancy was a hard-working lady who gave her all when it came to both of her career choices. In her earlier years, she was employed with a local dry cleaning firm where she was the smiling face who greeted the public with the utmost in customer service. In the late 60's, she sought a new avenue of employment which landed her at Fresh Labs in Warren. There, she was most proud of her position as a Pharmaceutical Inspector, a job she held for over 30 years until the time of her retirement. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed an eclectic array of pastimes. Being the classy lady she was, it was no surprise that shopping was one of her favorite things to do. She loved her clothes, and found many of her outfits at some of the ol' favorites like Winkleman's, Crowley's and Montgomery Wards. She also liked shopping for things to adorn the house, and that's when it was time for a jaunt to the ever-popular, K-Mart.On the few occasions you would find her sitting still, it was almost always when her favorite game show, The Price Is Right, was airing. She loved her game shows, but there was just something special about watching Bob Barker give away all that loot. She was also known for her deep appreciation for sports, but only when it came to devotion for the Detroit Tiger's and the Detroit Red Wings. Between her Motown Boys of Summer and her Warrior's behind the Winged Wheel, they afforded her many hours of sporting entertainment. But perhaps most favorite of all her enjoyment came through her precious puppies. There was the Scottish Terrier, Sean,'Charlie, the Poodle,'and more recently, her Schnauzer, Pepper. Her dogs were the apple of her eye, and brought her heart an incredible sense of joy. Nancy was a 'fun loving' lady who enjoyed sharing in some good-natured ribbing and teasing. She not only took it like a champ, but could dish it out accordingly. It always brought a happy smile and some welcomed laughter into her day. She touched many hearts along life's way, and will be immensely missed by all who were fortunate to know her.Dearest mother of Helen Ayris and Patricia Bernabei.
