Michael J. Rose, age 20 of Warren, died Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren. He was born September 28, 1992 in Grosse Pointe, son of John and Lisa (nee: Redman) Rose. Michael was truly a gift to the world, and to this experience called life. With Facebook as a measuring rod, it is strikingly obvious that he touched countless lives along the way and left his imprint upon the hearts of many. He possessed a care-giving spirit that was shared often and at every opportunity that presented itself. As the old adage states, he was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back. If he saw someone in need, you could count on Michael to extend his utmost in care and compassion. And this was never more evident than when he was extending his best & brightest towards the elderly and Golden Warriors who crossed his path. Michael's affections and care for older people was a special and unselfish gift that he couldn't help but share whenever possible. One of the benefactors of Michael's helping hand was his Grandpa Cracchiolo who ran a produce business in Detroit. Quite often, Michael would assist his Grandpa with the business operations which created a special bond between the two of them. Along with Michael's charitable gifts, he'll also be remembered for his unique and genuine sense of humor,…a gift of fun and laughter that he shared with all. More affectionately known as a "Jokester," it was all about sharing the lighter side of humanity and ushering in the joys and pleasures of life. When life got intense, there was Michael bringing some balance with a great joke or prank. Then there was his passion for swimming. He loved the water so much, many wondered if he had a set of gills. From his competitive days on the swim team at Tower High School to the simple pleasures of the backyard pool, there was no mistaking that Michael was at home in the water. A loving son, brother and friend, Michael's absence is sure to be felt. Yet the legacy of love he leaves behind is sure to fill that chasm with every thought and reflection that keeps him close. He loved his family immensely, especially his brother, Jason and sister's, Grace and Sofia. He was a brother unlike any other. He will be missed greatly and loved eternally. Loving son of Lisa (Peter) Cracchiolo and John Rose. Devoted brother of Jason Rose, Grace and Sofia Cracchiolo. Cherished grandson of Gregory & Judith Redman, Barbara Hanna, Charles & Antonia Cracchiolo, and the late James & Theresa Rose. Dearest great-grandson of William & Doreen Redman and Helen Sienkiewicz. Also survived by several loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation for Michael will be held Sunday, December 9th from 3-9pm, with a 7pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. He will lie in state Monday from 9:00am until the time of Mass at 9:30am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover Road, Warren, MI 48093. Officiating the liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Roman Pasieczny. Memorial donations are welcomed to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, 1820 Mt. Elliott St., Detroit, MI 48207. Please share memories of Michael at his memory book.
