She was born October 17, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Alvin Lehner and the late Eleanor (nee: Marshall) Lehner.
Mary had a zest for life that was infectious. She found joy in the simple pleasures of going out to eat, surrounded by family and friends, sharing hearty meals and laughter. Her greatest delight was spending cherished moments with her beloved grandchildren, creating lasting memories they will forever hold dear.
Mary was not only a beacon of love within her family but also in her community. Her commitment to raising money at craft shows for the benefit of the Animal Cruelty Society showcased her compassion for the voiceless. She believed in making the world a better place for all living beings.
A true pillar of her neighborhood, Mary was always the first to extend a helping hand. Whether it was driving neighbors around or assisting her children's friends, her generosity knew no bounds. Her practical wisdom and keen street smarts made her a trusted advisor too many.
She was known for her love of shopping and her talent for finding incredible deals. Her adventures in search of a good bargain were legendary, and her finds were the envy of all who knew her.
Mary's faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a devoted Catholic. Her unwavering belief in God and her commitment to her spiritual journey were a source of strength for her and an inspiration to those around her.
Mary J. Thomas leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and faith. Her memory will forever be a guiding light in our lives, a reminder of the beauty of a life well-lived.

She was the beloved wife of the late Edward. Loving mother of Jacqueline (Chris) Kreschmer, Edward (Theresa), and Doreen (Gary) Aman. Devoted grandmother of Adam, Brandon, and Krystin. Dear brother of the late Alvin Frank Lehner Jr.
Her visitation will be held on Thursday, 3pm-8pm with a 6:30pm Rosary at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road).
Friday she will lie in state at 10am until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:30am at St. Faustina Catholic Church.
