Born in Detroit to the late Anton and Elizabeth Romatz, Mary loved spending time with her family more than anything else. A proud grandma and great-grandma she loved to support them at their gymnastics competitions, sports events, and band concerts. An avid Tigers, Red Wings, and Pistons fan, Mary kept track of all the latest scores on her handwritten records. She knew all of the umpires for the Detroit Tigers, and swore she could accurately predict whether the team would win or lose based on the umpire for that particular game. Mary bought scratch off lottery tickets often or could be found doing a puzzle or crossword. At the end of a long day, she would curl up on the couch with her dog Molly and watch whichever game was on at the time. Beloved wife, grandma, great grandma, sister, aunt, and friend, Mary will be missed dearly.
Beloved wife of the late George Blackstock. Loving mom of Debra (Dan) Rosemeck, Don (Tammy) Blackstock, and the late Karen (Bob) Ozlanski. Cherished grandma of Rob Ozlanski, Dana (Daniel) Germeroth, Michael (Jessica) Blackstock, Jessica (Tom) Lagocki, and Alicia (Alex) Montney. Dear great-grandma of Samuel, Blake, Eleanor, Michael Jr., Lincoln, and Grace. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Predeceased by seven brothers and three sisters.
