Maria Leprich

Maria held a strong faith, having been a parishioner at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Warren, since moving to Detroit in 1956. She was the best cook and baker, making the most delicious Christmas cookies and tortes that just melted in your mouth. Her talents expanded into the garden where she tended a small vegetable garden and a beautiful garden of flowers. Family meant the world to her, cherishing every moment spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Maria is the beloved wife of 59 years to the late Johann Leprich. The loving mother of the late Trudy (Ralph) Barthel and John (Svetlana) Leprich. The cherished grandmother of Scott (Melissa) Barthel, Stacy (Kevin) Jutzy, Emily Marcil and Lindsay Marcil. Treasured great grandmother of Austin, Alyssa, Ethan, Ashley, Noah, Lily, Logan, Gavin, and Owen. Dear sister of the late Michael (Maria) Lindert, and aunt of Tina and Michelle.

A visitation for Maria will be held Friday, May 31, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren, Michigan 48088. An instate will occur Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral at 10:00 AM at St. Peters Evangelical Lutheran Church, 11423 Chicago Road, Warren, Michigan 48093.

In lieu of flowers, any donations made in Maria’s name to the National Breast Cancer Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
