I'd like to give my condolences to Marty and John's family I worked with John for quite a while and he was a really great guy I remember having cabbage too in his garage watching football what an awesome time it'll be dearly missed rest in peace my friend

I’m so sorry for the family on the loss of John. I use to hang out with his brother Dan and whenever I would see John at the house he was always full of energy and funny as heck. He was a great guy and I know his family will miss him greatly.
Marty your also in my prayers because I know how much this changes you life as well. May God bless you and your family during these weeks ahead.

John always came in to Discount Drinks and put a smile on my face. He would tell me about his sleepovers with his “grand babies” and weekend plans off of work on the boat in the summer. He made work days so much better. This news really broke my heart. My prayers goes out to his family and friends ❤️

John was bigger than life! Always kind with a friendly joke, his sense of humor was the best! I enjoyed the best “booze cruise” Thanks for some may great memories from 3rd grade till today a friend of mine and my family! Love and prayers for you Marty and your beautiful family! 

First met John on our first trip to Mi in many years.  We hit off from the start.  He funny loud and treated us like family.  Donna and I were shocked to learn of his passing.   I know he loved Marty very much and his children and grandchildren were the love of his life.  Hope John and Harvey are having a beer toghter. We have so many memories that We can’t mention them all.  We will miss you John.  Love you Marty, John, Joel and Chris ❤️

He was so full of life it’s hard to believe he’s gone. What a great, kind, generous and loyal friend of over fifty years. I will miss him always. I will be praying for you Marty, your family and beloved John.  

I'm not even sure the number of years I've known John he's been a fixture on Commonwealth Street for as long as I can remember he lived across the street from my parents Martha and Walt Downey. John personified the word neighbor.his  kindness,helpfulness and generosity were only overshadowed by his downright love of being the life of the party.to Marty and the Boys,
