Jean Antoun-Gasser

Jean was a parishioner at St. Louise de Marillac Catholic Church in Warren for over 20 years. She was involved in the events held at the church like helping out with their rummage sales. She was a talented seamstress; making her own clothes, tailoring her children’s clothes and making custom baby gifts with embroidery. Crafting was a big hobby of hers and she spent a lot of time in her craft room painting and refinishing furniture. Her grandkids meant the world to her and she loved taking care of them and spending time with them. She was an avid reader, always reading new books and every day reading the morning paper. As an animal lover, she would take in and care for any stray cats she found. She had numerous cats that she took care of throughout her life.

Jean was the wife of 29 years to the late Fred Antoun, current wife of 25 years to the late Rudy Gasser. Beloved mother of Jim (Ban) Antoun, Tony (Kelly) Antoun, Mike (Jen) Antoun, Renee (Jim) Tomich, Craig (Andrea) Antoun, and Bill Antoun. Cherished grandmother of Freddie (Brieanne), Nick, Emily, Christopher, Alec (Emily), Adam, Austin, Mark (Courtney), Jessica (Andrew), Morgan, Hayley, Rachel (Fred), and Anis. Treasured great grandmother of Zerand, Bennett, Emma, Lincoln, and Logan. Twin sister of Joan (Ron) Riley and dear aunt to Gina, Jeff, and Jennifer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7, from 2pm until 8pm, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren. Instate will be held on Friday, September 8, from 10:30 until the time of the funeral at 11am, at St. Malachy Catholic Church, 14115 East 14 Mile Road, in Sterling Heights.
