Frank Joseph Miller Jr., age 79, died Sunday, June 3, 2018 at St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Frank was born June 19, 1938 in Detroit, son of the late Frank Joseph Miller and the late Lucille (nee: Kubiak) Miller.Frank was raised in Detroit and was a proud 1956 graduate of De LaSalle Collegiate Catholic High School. Following high school, Frank went on to study engineering at the University of Detroit and later continued to earn his Masters of Business Administration at Michigan State University.With a very smart and astute mind for engineering, Frank found employment within the Freuhauf Trailer Corporation. Frank worked for over 30 years for Freuhauf, finishing his career as Vice President of Engineering. During his tenure with the company Frank traveled to many locations visiting plants and suppliers.When Frank was not working he enjoyed golf in his younger years and tinkering at home with his many Lionel Trains. Later, as his grandchildren entered school, Frank became active attending as many sporting events and extracurricular activities for his grandchildren as able.Frank cherished his wife and family and was the consummate patriarch and father figure to his children. He worked hard, was a strong role model, and was devout in his Catholic faith. Frank and his wife were founding parishioners of St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church in Warren, where Frank also served on the finance committee.Frank Miller was the beloved husband of Shirley Miller and was the dear father of Jeffrey Miller (Corinna Chang), Christy Miller (Sam Wassef), Michelle Miller (Lou Dobbs), and Beth (Jason) Wheeler. He was the brother of Donald (Nancy) Miller, and is also survived by his cherished ten grandchildren; Sophia, Isabella, Bradley, Kennedy, Jacob, Noah, Olivia, Ashley, Amber, and Adam. A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 with the Miller family receiving guests at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Warren, from 9am until the time of the Memorial Mass at 9:30am.
