Dorothy Louise Miller, age 80, of Warren, passed away on June 25, 2022.
Born in Detroit on July 2, 1941 to the late Abraham and Yovonne Silk, Dorothy taught in Warren consolidated schools for 35 years. Beloved by students and friends alike over the years, Dorothy graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s degree in 1963. In her free time she and her husband Bob would go up to the their cabin in Northern Michigan. Dorothy and Bob could be found cheering on the sidelines at every U of M football game with the season passes they enjoyed every year, and they never missed a game. A kind woman with a gentle nature and a big heart, Dorothy had a love for animals, her family and friends, and was an avid collector of bears and dolls.
Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Miller for 56 years. Dorothy is survived by two sisters-in-law; Patricia Etheridge and Barbara (Richard) Brunette. Cherished aunt of Jeff (Lynn) Etheridge, Kathy Kamps, Debbie Etheridge, Jerry (Pat) Brunette, Connie (Mike) Nienhouse, Karen (Tim) King, Nicole (Eric) Shugars, and Kris (Chris) Piotrowicz. Dorothy was also the great-aunt of many loving great nieces and nephews. Dorothy will be dearly missed by all who survive her including cousins and close friends.
Visitation, Wednesday July 6 from 10am until time of Funeral Service at 12pm at Temrowski, 30009 Hoover Road, in Warren. Dorothy will be laid to rest in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
