Born 7-11-1958 Died 6-6-2021
Brian Christopher Geml, a lifelong resident of the Metro-Detroit area and owner of G & L Custom Exhaust, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 6, 2021. He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer and Stephanie, and his son Christopher 'Spanky' and Christina Geml; his grandchildren, Angel, Kylie, Grace, Thomasina, Topher, Maggie, Alayla, Zechariah, and soon to be adopted Elijah; his sisters and brothers Kathy and Lynda, Dave and Renee, Rick and Patty, Dan and Michelle, Mike and Ruth, Pat and Jackie, and Ana whose husband Larry will usher his brother through the gates of heaven.
Brian Graduated from Lincoln High School in 1976 with a passion for hot-rods. He learned to bend exhaust pipes by eye as a teen, and it was those small shop roots that got his foot in the door at a big-name franchise. Brian perfected his trade at the Midas shop, and when the opportunity presented itself, he took a chance on his talents and fulfilled a life-long dream of starting his own business. For the next half of his life, he would be the proud owner of "The Shop," where he developed so many of our lives.
His primary purpose in life was to make sure everyone else was cared for, and unfortunately, his health and blood sugar problems took a backseat. His brief life is an inspiring example of quality, not quantity. Though we would have loved to see him reach 100, his lessons as a devoted father, caring Papa, selfless brother, great friend, and hard-working patriot will live on for generations. This man did his best to display the Gospel of Christ through his deeds, and I am confident that he has heard the words from his Creator, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
We want to invite you to join us as we celebrate his life Thursday, June 10, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Warren MI, 48088, with a viewing from 3-8 pm; Rosary at 7 pm. Catholic mass will be held on Friday, June 11, at St. Louis Catholic Community, 24415 Crocker Blvd, Clinton Twp, MI 48036, at 11 am.
Lovingly submitted by Brian's family.
