Bonnie Sue Fontaine, age 65 of Roseville, Michigan, passed away Friday October 8, 2021, at Ascension St. John Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Bonnie was born November 8, 1955 in Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Lloyd Eugene Rodgers and the late Louise Marie Rodgers (nee: LaBranche).
Bonnie’s family eventually migrated to Michigan where Bonnie was raised and later graduated from Detroit’s Servite Catholic High School. Following high school Bonnie lived her life like most other young women of the era. She married and later became a mother of two wonderful sons.
Bonnie would later meet the love of her life with Jeffrey Lubaski, sharing their years together in Roseville, Michigan. Bonnie was the consummate “stay at home” Mom, raising her sons and constantly tending to her home and decorating for the holidays.
Bonnie and Jeff enjoyed their time out on Lake St. Clair boating along with entertaining friends and family at Sassy’s Marina. Bonnie experienced some health issues which impacted her abilities; however it never took away her love for her cherished family. Bonnie was truly the “Matriarch” of her family. She cared for her sons, and later her grandchildren, and even many friends’ children over the years. Bonnie continued her love of all the holidays celebrating with her family, however now the family will have an angel above to celebrate from Heaven.
Bonnie was the beloved wife of Jeffrey Lubaski, and the dear mother of Ronald (Tammy) Fontaine, and David (Lindsay) Fontaine. Bonnie was the loving Grandma of Autumn, Alyssa, Kaliy, Caleb, Aubree, and Macie. She is further survived by her siblings, Shirley (Mike) Gagnon, Harold (Becky) Rodgers, and many loving family members and friends.
Visitation for Bonnie will be held on Friday from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile). Bonnie will lie in state Saturday 10am at Triumphant Cross Lutheran Church, 22310 E. 13 Mile Road, St. Clair Shores, MI 48082. Officiating the Funeral Services will be Reverend Robert Brannon.
