Andrea M. Greer "Drea," age 33, died Sunday, March 13, 2016. Drea was born June 5, 1982 in Detroit to Spencer Lloyd and Deborah Anne (nee: Schultz) Greer.Andrea was raised in Clarkston and attended Clarkston Community Schools. Shortly before entering high school, the family moved to Linden where she ultimately graduated from Linden High School.Drea enjoyed many types of food, some of her favorites being Belgian waffles with strawberries, pancakes, cheesecake, and especially her mother Deborah's homemade pasta. As a young child, those Belgian waffles (with strawberries, of course) were often the main (and favorite) staple for Drea,…and the meal just wouldn't be complete without a serving of shrimp. As a young child, people would start to notice Drea's creative and artistic side. She would often express her gift through the making of jewerly, which she did for many years. She also expressed herself through her work as a hairstylist. Drea garnered great satisfaction in helping bring beauty to the lives of others,…especially in the countless lives that were touched by her artistry.Andrea bore an amazing love of animals, and they all loved her in return. It was this love for animals that nearly drove Drea to choose a career in the veterinary field, either as a vet or a veterinary technician.Drea will forever be remembered for her love and appreciation of music, especially in the sounds and beats of her favorite genre, electronic dance. Whenever possible, she derived great enjoyment in attending many of the various summer music festivals that frequented the area. Along somewhat similar lines of entertainment, Drea loved a good flick and was considered by most to be quite the cinematic connoisseur. She was especially drawn to the movies of the '80's, with one of her favorites being the classic, "Mannequin" which starred (a young) Andrew McCarthy, Kim Cattrall, and James Spader.A life gone far too soon from our presence,...still, Drea leaves a storehouse of wonderful memories for all to draw upon who were fortunate to know this "Classic Bohemian." There's was none like her, a nobody who will ever be able to fill her shoes. Her legacy of love is bound to leave its impact on each heart and life that reflects and embraces her inspiring gift to all. Drea was the loving daughter of Spencer L. and Deborah A. Greer (nee Schultz); and the beloved sister of Nicole (Louie) Kolbe. Drea was also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 19th from 2 - 4 pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren.
