Fonda Richerson passed away at Genesis Perrysburg Center on March 21, 2015. Born March 13, 1939, in Hinton, West Virginia to Ira Grant Wyant and Idress Louella Wyant. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Billy Ray Richerson. Surviving are her siblings, Eugene (Leola) Wyant, Ronald (Rosemary) Wyant, Kenneth Lee (Karen) Wyant, Loretta (Bruce) Simmons and stepdaughters, Linda (Ken) Adams, and Terri (Mark) Snyder. Fonda and Bill traveled the United States in their RV for 16 years in retirement before settling down in Canyon Lake, Texas. During their travels, they volunteered at National State Parks and fruit orchards throughout the country. They enjoyed outdoor activities, appreciated nature and the chance to meet new people. Fonda enjoyed gathering wild flower seeds during her travels which she planted at their home in Texas. She lived life fully and would probably describe it as "fantastic." Her family would like to thank Genesis Perrysburg Center for their wonderful care and loving understanding during the past two years and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their professional and compassionate care. Funeral arrangements were made by Witzler-Shank Funeral Home in Walbridge, Ohio. Per Fonda's wishes, there will be no funeral services. Fonda will be laid to rest along with her late husband in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/toledoblade/obituary.aspx?n=fonda-richerson&pid=174477471&fhid=13948#sthash.Nxvkyzmi.dpuf
