Jack R. Densman, 77, of Waco, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Providence Hospital with his loving family and dear friends by his side. A graveside service to honor Jack will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Waco Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 7 at Connally Compton Funeral Directors.
Jack was born May 20, 1936 in Durango, Falls County, TX to J.R. and Nova Frank (McCleary) Densman. He grew up in the Durango and Lott area. Jack joined the US Army in 1958 and proudly served his country during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged on June, 30, 1963. On January 27, 1961, he married his beloved Nelda Joan Braswell, also of Falls County. Jack and Nelda were so blessed to be able to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary before Nelda passed away in June 2011. Jack spent many years working in the wholesale grocery industry, always there to offer a big smile to customers. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nelda; and step-son, Tommy Bench, Jr. (TJ). He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Sundie Francies and Pam Thomas; son, Ronnie Densman; four grandchildren, Nicky Jordan, Chris Simmons, Jeremy Bench and Katy Bench; six great-grandchildren, Gavin Jordan, Lexi Jordan, MaKenzie Jordan, Alyssa Simmons, Cameron Simmons and Sarah Bench; brothers, Harold and Kathy Holtzclaw and Don and Denise Holtzclaw; cousin, Nova Tindle; brother -in- law Jackie Braswell and wife Janie; and sister-in-law, Shirlene Eades.
