The Rosary will be recited at 11:00 a.m. with the Funeral Mass to follow, November 2, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with Father Joy Adimakkeel as Celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Martin’s Cemetery in Tours, Texas.
A visitation will be 6p.m. to 8 p.m., November 1, 2013, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors.
Estella was born the 6th child to Leopold and Anna (Ahlbach) Wachsmann on March 16, 1933 in Leroy, Texas. While working for Piccadilly Cafeteria in Waco, she met and later married the love of her life James Eugene Wright on May 23, 1964; Gene passed away February 20, 1994. They both worked for Piccadilly Cafeterias for a combined total of 62 years, working in Waco, Georgia and Florida. Estella was an honorary member of Tejas Travelers of Waco Texas and the Penthouse Campers of Fort Worth, going on weekend campouts with her brother (Pete) and his camping group. She enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church of Bellmead, Texas.
Estella was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Andrew L Wachsmann and Joe L Wachsmann; sisters, Anna M. Zanter and Hattie M. Williams.
Estella is survived by her stepson, Robert Wright and wife Jeanette of Waco; sister Margaret M. Schroeder of Bellmead; sister-in-law, Georgia Wachsmann of Elm Mott; brothers, Alphonse P. Wachsmann of Waco, Leo L. Wachsmann and wife Margaret of Ennis, George J. Wachsmann and wife Rose Merry of Red Oak, and William L. Wachsmann and wife Clara Nell of West; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Jerry Richard, Ted Thornton, Mitchell Wachsmann, Kevin Wachsmann, Neil Wachsmann, and Todd Wachsmann.
In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Bellmead, Texas, remodeling project, Scott & White/ Hillcrest Cancer, Waco, Texas, or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee.
