Claudia Wheelis

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Monday June 25th at Connally-Compton Funeral Home, Waco, Texas. Graveside services will be 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 26, 2018 in Carolina Cemetery near Lott in Falls County.

Claudia was born on December 7, 1926 to Charles Homer Carroll and Ruby Lee Gibson at their home in Chilton, Texas. Claudia was a devoted mother, grandmother (Granny), great grandmother and great-great grandmother (Old Granny). She enjoyed spending time with family, working crossword puzzles, bird watching, having a chew and playing dominoes.

Claudia was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, three brothers, husbands Clarence Brown Coleman, Joe Neal Wheelis of 52 years and daughter Ramona Lee Turner.

Claudia is survived by her daughters, Tonna Mays and husband Kenneth of Lorena, Paulette Hunter and husband Gene of Hewitt, Son-in-law Wayne Turner of McGregor and one brother.

Grandchildren: Allen Hunter and wife Jerri, Wayne Mays and wife Carmen, Lance Hunter, Kendy Whicker and husband Mike, Joey Bass and wife Jennifer. Great grandchildren: Robin and Rachel Hunter, Mason and Trace Mays, Jonathan, Aaron and Austin Hunter, Cody and Casey Whicker and Kendall Bass. Great-great granddaughter: Emery Hunter and numerous nieces and nephews.
