Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 23, at Connally Compton Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, Aug. 22, at the funeral home.
Anna Belle Day was born August 23, 1925 in Troy, Texas to William and Anna (Cawthon) Day. She graduated from Bruceville Eddy High School in 1943. On September 11, 1943, she married Alfred Deloy Jameson before he went off to war. Upon Alfred’s return from WW II, they moved to Ohio where Carol and Don were born. In 1949 they returned to Texas where Becka was born. Anna began working at James Connally Air Force Base and remained there until the base closed. Upon leaving she began working at the V.A. hospital until she retired in 1983. Alfred passed away in 1989 and in 1991 Anna was married to Joe Jost.
Anna enjoyed dancing, playing games with friends, traveling and being with family. She left a great Christian legacy and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Odell and Luther; sister, Jane; son, Don Jameson; and grandson, Jonathan Maxwell. She is also preceded in death by both husbands; and step son, Malford Jost and his granddaughter.
Survivors include her daughters, Carol Maxwell and husband Henry and Becka Brenner and husband Greg; stepson, Michael Jost and wife Pat and Malford’s wife Penny; grandchildren, Brandon Brenner and wife Christi, Derek Brenner, Travis Maxwell and wife Sarah, and Preston Maxwell and wife Melanie; and 9 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include grandchildren and great-grandchildren from her second marriage.
