I was sad to learn of Martys passing.
I knew Marty from Seibels Bruce and he ALWAYS had a smile on his face.  He had a great love for trains and I enjoyed seeing all of these awesome pictures.  RIP Marty

I met Marty at Taylor Elementary in the 5th. Grade. He was a true friend from the get go. Marty would do anything for you. I didn’t see him often in adulthood but it was like we never were apart. I had been praying for him the last few months and talked to him on the phone about his health struggles,  I am shocked he is gone. He will be forever missed! Prayers for the family.  I will see you again one day, save me a seat Marty!

Marty called me on October 4th. We had a catch up conversation and he told me he was having to have treatment for infection. He was in good spirits and his normal happy self.  I just found out today and am in shock. Sending love and lifting the family up in prayers. Sandra Osteen

I didn't know Marty that well. (We didn't work in the same program area.)  But he always had a smile for me when I saw him in the hall.  He was such a genuinely nice person.  He is missed.  My deepest sympathy to his friends and family.

I grew up with Marty on the "Avenues" in Cayce and remember him as always being a kind and friendly person. His family and mine have a history that goes back many years. I bet you have that train conductor's hat on now in heaven. Prayers to the family in your time of sorrow.

I will miss Marty's sweet spirit so much. He was a very bright spot in everyone's day. My deepest sympathy and lots of love is extended to all who were blessed to know him. Until we meet again, Marty!

Marty was my friend from the second I stepped off the school bus at Busbee Middle. We became fast friends and never stopped laughing.  We remained friends up until his passing. If he could only know how much he’s missed here but that might take away his 100% perfect joy he is now receiving in Heaven with Jesus. I imagine he is “conducting” some pretty funny stories and by now he and Jeff have found one another. They would surly be discussing the old neighborhoods of Cayce and how it has all changed. I know without a doubt they are talking trains. We’ll miss you Marty.

Marty was a remarkable and unique friend. Our friendship spanned over 50 years. Though we didn’t communicate everyday or week during those years we would catch up with each other and it was like picking up where we left off without skipping a beat. Marty was genuine and full of kindness and generosity. Rarely did I ever see Marty in a bad mood. I will cherish the memories I have of Marty from grade school to high school to adulthood. I think Marty’s presence brought light into so many people’s lives. Though Marty is no longer with us on earth his spirit lives on in the countless ways he touched the hearts of those that knew him. God bless and rest in peace.

Marty and I worked at Siebels for years. We never worked in the same department,  however,  he would come around with that smile of his and say hello. He loved old things and trains. When he found out my husband and I were buying a cabin in Lexington off.378 he was so excited for us. A week later he gave us a house warming gift (we never had a open house or party). The gift was two small hurricane lamps. Those beautiful lamps remain on our mantle . RIP🙏

I am so very sad to learn of Marty’s passing.  Marty was a very kind, sweet gentleman.  I worked with him for years at Seibels, Bruce & Company many years ago.  We reconnected last year and I truly enjoyed our conversations.  Marty will truly be missed.

Marty always had a special place in my heart, since high school. Such a sweet, humble, funny guy and a good man that was full of Christ.  Our Classmate will always hold a special place in our hearts. We all are blessed to have him in our lives.
 We just celebrated our Bearcat Class of 84, 40th Reunion,( that he said he enjoyed so much and said he was so glad he could see everyone).
 While I was planning our reunion (since March) I spoke with him several times until about a wk ago, I always kept up with him especially after his foot surgery. He was always upbeat but said it got lonely for him from time to time and spoke in depth about several things. I prayed with him and for him
When he went into the hospital again in September, he had gotten pretty sick he was so worried so I texted him several times a day letting him know Ron and I were there for him even on our vacation, always appreciative he would say.* Thank you, Robin for placing me on our Bearcat page to be prayed for. He will always have us....we are his family too and he will forever be ours. 
I'm just so sorry he didn't make it.
But I defintely know where he made it to, HEAVEN AND INTO THE ARMS OF JESUS, where he will never be alone again and is now completely healed.
We love you Marty and I promise I will see you there when I leave this earth. I enjoyed our talks here but they will be even better there.
God bless his family and friends now and forever
He was a pure soul and that's hard to find now a days, we all are a better person having him in our lives.
