Calvin Atlas Martin

WEST COLUMBIA – Sunday February 4, 2018 Calvin Atlas Martin went to be with his Lord and Savior. He was a faithful husband, father and grandfather and was loved by all who knew him. Calvin spent more than 35 years in the trucking industry and worked hard to provide for his family. He was a faithful member of Columbia First Church of Nazarene and he trusted and loved his Lord. Calvin loved being with his family and enjoying the outdoors. He leaves behind his wife, Linda Wise Martin of West Columbia. Children, Kim (Mitchell) McKenzie of Little River; Monica (Ben) Kelly of Lexington; Eric (Laura) Martin of West Columbia. Grandchildren Preston (Brittany) Thomas, Cory Thomas, Paul McKenzie, Blake Kelly, Kyle Kelly, Cody Martin, Hanna Martin, Madison Martin. Great-Grandchildren, Natalie, Brice and Kaylee. Brother Harley (Donette) Martin of Prosperity; Aven (Phyllis) Martin of Leesville, Jimmy (Molly) Martin of Leesville. Sister Loretta (John) Crowley. Sister-in-law Janet Martin. Step sons, Gary (Beth) Wise and Roger (Adrian) Wise. Step-grandchildren, Kaleb Wise and Kendal Wise and numerous nieces and nephews. Calvin was predeceased by his wife Helen Anderson Martin and brother Russell Martin. Special thank you to his caretaker Jenness Crowley. Funeral services will be held at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, West Columbia Chapel on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM. with visitation being held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at Southland Memorial Gardens.
