Born to Robert Elliot Whitlock and Luella Caroline Brown Whitlock on July 24, 1920 and passed to be with “Our Blessed Loving Heavenly Father, Our Lord Jesus Christ”, on January 30, 2013, at age 92. He was a proud WWII Veteran. He served our country in the Navy on two ships, the “Wake Island” and the “Charger”. He married Grace Anabel Black on August 2, 1945. They were married for 33 years, until her passing. They had 5 daughters, Esther, Ruth, Elizabeth, Lois and Leah. He worked for the telephone company “Pacific Telephone and Telegraph”, for 36 years. After Grace’s death he later married Vera Miskue on September 3, 1980. Dad gained a step son Jimmy Cadden.
He is survived by his wife Vera Whitlock, 3 sisters Alice Burnett, Elanor Sprottee and Leah Chelemedas, 3 daughters Ruth Kimball, Elizabeth Bough, Jackie Bough (spouse) Leah Crow, and Carl Crow (spouse), 1 step-son Jimmy Cadden, 7 Grandchildren Debbie Donnelly, Michael Donnelly (spouse), Michelle Laird, Larry Laird (spouse), Jennifer Bray, Eric Bray (spouse), Angela O’Neal, Chris O’Neal (spouse), Christopher Bough, Rebekah Pham, Phong Pham (spouse), Joshua Riley, and Heather Riley (spouse), 11 Great Grandchildren Katelyn Donnelly, Meghan Donnelly, Christine Bray, Kelly Bray, Kaitlyn Bray, Addison O’Neal, Rylee O’Neal, Lily Le, Luke Pham, Johanna Pham and Dillon Riley.
Visitation will be held at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia on Monday, February 4, 2013 from 3 – 7 p.m.
Graveside funeral services will be held at Visalia District Cemetery, 1300 W. Goshen Avenue in Visalia Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 1:30 p.m.
