Lupe worked in janitorial, sanitation, and most people knew him as a salesman for life insurance. Frequently he went to work "yard sales". He loved fishing, yard sales, antiquing, working with his hands, but mostly traveling. Lupe and Maria had the opportunity to go to Hawaii five times, Brazil, Canada twice, Bahamas three times, and many other states, in which he loved vacationing with his sisters in law.
Lupe had a great sense of humor and he will be remembered by his famous sayings. He often said, “I kiss girls”, “Let’s go get the girls”, “Let’s Rob a bank” and his favorite, “IT'S NOT MY JOB!!”
To his children and grandchildren he would say, “You are the ugly people” in which they would respond, “We are part of you, so you are ugly too.”
Lupe was a strong man. He survived Vietnam, he beat Cancer by 14 years, and Covid in 2020.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Longino and Juanita Garcia; his daughter, Guadalupe Ramona Garcia; his five grandchildren, John Alexander, Jr., and four angels who are with their grandpa for the first time; his sister, Mary Sandoval and brother, Frank Garcia.
