Catherine Quiroz, 92, of Farmersville, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023 in Visalia. She was born in Farmersville on December 26, 1930 to Vicente Solorio and Jovita Tafolla Solorio. She attended school in Farmersville until the 8th grade.
On March 14, 1950 she married Paul Quiroz in Reno, NV. Together they had two sons.
Catherine was a wonderful homemaker. She spent most of her time caring for her family, crocheting, quilting, doing needlework, volunteering at the local thrift store, volunteering for her son's school field trips, and attending church. She was baptized and took her first communion as a child, and was confirmed as an adult. In 1982 she gave her heart to the Lord and became a Christian. She attended many revival services in the area until she began regularly attending Walnut Grove Assembly of God in Ivanhoe, CA in 1998.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and her loving husband. She is survived by her sons Phillip Quiroz of Farmersville, and Patrick (Allison) Quiroz of Exeter, granddaughter Kassie Quiroz of Campbell, CA, and grandsons Theo Quiroz, Owen Quiroz, and Luke Quiroz, all of Exeter, and sister Benita Jordan of Downsville, LA., as well as many niece's and nephews.
