Angela Villanueva Ozuna

Angela Villanueva Ozuna passed away peacefully on August 2nd, 2023 in Visalia, California at the age of 91. Angela was born on July 5th, 1932 in Monterrey, Nuevo León, México to Anastacia Segovia Villanueva and Tomás Villanueva. She moved to the United States with her family at the age of 14. Angela married Simon Vidaure Ozuna in December of 1968 and together they raised their two children in Pasadena, California. In 1998, after the birth of her first grandchild, Angela and her family followed her son to the Central Valley of California, where they finally settled down in Visalia.

Angela is survived by her husband, Simon, their two children, Silvia Maciel (and husband Francisco Maciel) and Arturo Tomás Ozuna, and her 6 grandchildren, Aimé and Alonzo Ozuna and Cassandra Anastacia, Anthony Tomás, Silvia Esperanza, and Alejandro Gustavo Maciel. She is also survived by her older sister, Sofia. She will be remembered by her family for her unwavering love, presence, support and dedication as a wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of God.

Please join us in remembering Angela and celebrating her life. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening, August 16th from 3-7pm and a rosary will take place starting at 6pm at Miller Memorial Chapel in Visalia, California. A mass will be held in honor of Angela on Thursday, August 17th at 9:30am at St. Mary’s Church in Visalia. Graveside services will take place at 11am at the Visalia Cemetery, followed by a reception at 1pm at the Portuguese Hall of Visalia.
