IN THE CARE OF
Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home & Rosewood Memorial Park
Our beloved matriarch, Wanda Arlene Reeves, passed away peacefully at her home in Virginia Beach on May 1, 2022. She was 70 years old.
Wanda was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on January 7, 1952 to her parents George L. and T. Doris Littlejohn. She graduated from McArthur High School and Broward County Community College before leaving for Spain with her young Navy husband at age 21. The Navy took Jim and Wanda all over the world during a long naval career, from Spain to Scotland to up and down the East Coast. She loved being a Navy wife and her energy, compassion, and leadership were extraordinary.
Wanda was also a faithful servant in her church, Glad Tidings Church (now Coastal Virginia Church), and served wherever she saw a need from Church Administrator to MPact Girls Leader. She and Jim also served on multiple GTC Missions Teams. Wanda loved volunteering, gardening, travel, quilting, books, friends and most of all her family.
Wanda is predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, James D. Reeves Jr., daughters Kelly Reeves White (Taylor), Melanie Reeves Greene (Jerry), and Tiffany Lynn Reeves, and their son, James D. Reeves III (Shea). Grammy will be missed by her 9 grandchildren: Luna, Payton, Cambell, Wren, Sawyer, Logan, Dawson, Nolan, and Axel. Wanda is also survived by her sister, Doreen Rummell (Bob), nephew Justin Lockhart (Lindsey), and brother Wayne Littlejohn and many cousins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 11 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 12, 1:00 p.m. at Coastal Virginia Church, 301 S. Newtown Road, Norfolk. Interment will be private at Rosewood Memorial Park.
The family wishes to thank the medical professionals and hospice staff who showed tremendous kindness while helping us all navigate illness and loss.
