Vivian Neathery Jeter

Vivian Neathery Jeter, 89 passed away on July 9, 2024. Mrs. Jeter was preceded in death by her parents Hyram and Bessie Neathery, her husband Patrick Donald Jeter, & grandson Patrick Baker. Brothers Jack, Marvin, & Paul, sisters Evelyn, Kathryn, Jean and Doris May. Mrs. Jeter was heavily involved with her sorority and helping those less fortunate. The girls became her second family, uniting together to help those less fortunate than themselves. Truly enjoyed her career, working her way from secretary to assistant VP of the marine division of Marsh Mclennan. Her flower garden was her sanctuary which always looked like it was from a Home & Garden magazine. She loved dancing with or without a partner, but it was always her preference for Pat to join in. She was selfless and always gave to those less fortunate. She was known for her delicious cornbread & you never what ingredients she would add. Survivors include her daughter Scherrye Baker, son Jeffrey Jeter, granddaughter Katina, grandson Shaun, his wife Viviana & four children, Elijah, Naomi, Joshua, & Nathaniel. Her sister Betty & brother Richard. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 17, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park. A reception will follow in the funeral home.
