Rita Margarita Ludwig, 95, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2022. Rita was born November 27, 1926, to the late Juan Romero and Evelyn Romero Richardson. She was one of 7 girls and 5 boys. She spent 25 years working as a nurse’s aide. After she retired, she continued to drive several aids to the hospital at midnight, Timken Mercy in Canton Ohio, as a blessing as they could not drive.
Her great loves were The Lord – she was a devout catholic, her husband of 47 years, Joseph Paul Ludwig who passed in 2010, her family and her friends. She loved sports – baseball and football were favorite– and she loved airplanes. She especially liked the WWII planes. She was a “Rosie the Riveter” so there was a special connection. She also spent hours crocheting blankets for others.
Left to cherish her memories are 4 daughters: Rita Ackerman and husband Ron; Adele Huff and husband Greg, Jessie Delgado, and Carol Sue Fenton and husband Dennis; 8 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 2:00 for a memorial service and reception at Redeemer Church 508 Centerville Turnpike, Chesapeake, VA 23320
