Nancy West Smith

Nancy West Smith, 87, passed peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 19, 2022, in Virginia Beach, VA. Nancy was born on June 22, 1935, in Norfolk, VA, to the late Kathern M West and Herman B West. Nancy was married to the love of her life, H. Stuart Smith for 33 years before passing in 2019. Nancy was always busy with crafts and all things creative. Most days, you would find her and Stuart busy in the sewing room with her making a new outfit or embroidering and Stuart doing a puzzle or working on a needlepoint. Whatever they did, they did it together! Both were content to sit on the sofa together just holding hands. Along with her husband, Stuart, Nancy was predeceased by her son, Ronald W. Miller, and great granddaughter Elizabeth Cooke. Left to cherish her memory are her three children, sons, Larry G. Miller, Jr. and wife Wendy, Thomas E. Miller and wife Jacqui; daughter, Amy M. Overstreet and husband John; daughter-in-law, Terri Hardman; grandchildren, Jessica, Alex, TJ, Chelsea, Stephanie, Ronnie, Timmy, Sammy, Lauren and Vega; great grandchildren, Hannah, Noah, Ethan and Arabella. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
