OBITUARY
Marion "Mickey" Michael Turner
3 July, 1961 – 7 October, 2024
IN THE CARE OF
Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home & Rosewood Memorial Park
Marion Michael “Mikey” Turner, 63, of Norfolk, went to be with his loving parents October 7, 2024. Mikey was born in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late Marion McDaniel Turner and Marion Myrtle Turner.
Mikey never met a stranger he did not like; he loved life and lived it to his fullest. On most evenings you could hear him singing to his favorite music artist, the King of Rock n Roll, Elvis Presley. On Sundays he would attend Azalea Baptist Church. He was very active with the Special Olympics in the Hampton Roads area; he participated in many of events and closing out their bowling league.
Those left to cherish his memory is his loving stepmom, Nell; two sisters, Susan Price and her husband Harry, and Toni Clark and her husband Roy; four nephews, John Simmons, Tommy O'Brien, Patrick Doherty and Michael Simmons; two nieces, Tara Simmons and Rebecca Price; and two grandnieces and four grandnephews.
There will be a Gathering to Share Memories and Celebrate the Life of Mikey on Saturday, October 26, at 10:00 am, held at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Norfolk Special Olympics.
