She is survived by her son Thomas, daughter Katie, sister Christina Andrews, grandchildren Hunter and Eli, and nieces and nephew, Jenna Lewellyn, Mary Herbert, and William Andrews. Her live-in caregiver Jessica kept her healthy and happy for many years.
Judy's father, Capt. William "Killer Kane" served in the U.S. Navy as a WW2 Fighter Ace who commanded Air Group 10 on the USS Enterprise, the "Grim Reapers." Judy's mom Madeline was a stalwart Navy wife who was with Killer Kane while protecting her kids at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Judy lived the life of a Navy Junior, moving from one military assignment to another throughout her childhood and early teens. She is a member of Virginia Beach United Methodist Church.
Judy is an accomplished athlete, and among other honors, won Norfolk city championships in swimming and diving while at Granby High. She attended Mary Washington University. Avid sailors, Judy and Tom spent many years sailing the seas and travelling the world.
Judy was an amazing mother, a loving wife, a great sister and daughter. Her family mourns her loss but celebrates her wonderful life, well lived and well loved. Anchors Aweigh!
