John F. Price

John Floyd Price, 92, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2015. John was born in Norfolk, VA to Otho Shelton Price and Lenora Heffner Price. A veteran of WWII, John was a member of the Jolly Rogers 90th Bomb Group in the Army Air Corp. He met the love of his life, Peggy Howells in London during that time. He retired from Civil Service at Fort Story in 1973. He was a former member of Poplar Branch Baptist Church in Grandy, NC where he was baptized.
He pursued a degree in Theology and went on to be a counselor at CBN University. He enjoyed his retirement by visiting civil war historic landmarks,
hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family. He loved nature and enjoyed being outside as much as possible. He loved to share stories and had a remarkable memory for details. He was a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is predeceased by his 8 other siblings and his grandson, Adam Price. He is survived by his children, Anthony J. Price and his wife Linda, Barry J. Price, Jewel P. Berg and her husband Ron, Rhona L. Hollingsworth and Jonathan D. Price; along with 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 to 8pm Friday, April 10, 2015 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home, 601 N. Witchduck Rd. Graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Rosewood Memorial Park, 631 N. Witchduck Rd. You may share memories at www.kellumfuneralhome.com.
