James Louis Garcia

Born in 1937 to Faustino and Lulu Garcia in New York City, New York. James Louis “Big Jimmy” Garcia passed on 11/11/2021 at the age of 84 in Virginia Beach, VA. Graduating from college in 1957 Big Jimmy went on to work for the Onassis Shipping Corporation. Then would work as a supply officer overseeing the naval base in Morocco where he would meet the love of his life Fouzia. After returning to the USA he would go on to work for John Hancock Life Insurance Company where many of his favorite memories were had with his son Jimmy C. Garcia.

Like his nickname, he had a big heart. Every Christmas, birthday, holiday and family gathering always had as much food, music and livelihood as possible. Always making sure everyone left with a full belly and great memories.

Having lived a long and generous life he leaves his wife, Fouzia; daughter, Francine; son, Travis as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. We all love Big Jimmy very much and know he will remain in our hearts forever.
