Jack M Henley

Jack Monroe Henley was born December 15, 1935 in Eden, North Carolina. He departed this life February 13, 2013 in a Norfolk hospital surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Henley retired from Kimnach Ford in 2009. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. His family was most important to him. He was an avid golfer.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Alice Henley of 43 years, his two daughters Leigh Grimsley and husband Danny Grimsley of Suffolk, Va and Deana H. Hippenstiel and husband Mark Hippenstiel of Norfolk, Va. ,three grandchildren April,Cameron and Van and a host of other family and friends.

We would like to especially thank Dr Moylan and Dr Singla of the Simon Kramer Institute in PA for the treatment, hope, support and love they gave to him. We would also like to thank Dr Sam Leibovici and all of the nurses at Sentara Leigh Hospital that made his departure from this world peaceful.

A funeral will be held at 1:00 pm , Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Smith and Williams Funeral Home/Kempsville Chapel at 4889 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach. Graveside service will follow at Woodlawn Cemetary at 6329 E Virginia Beach Blvd. The family will receive friends at 401 Peace Haven Drive, Norfolk following the graveside service.
