Garland Bennett

Garland E. Bennett, Jr. Norfolk – Garland E. Bennett, Jr., 64, passed away on March 20, 2010. A native of Norfolk, he was born on May 30, 1945 to the late Garland and Helen Bennett. Garland was a graduate of Norview High School, class of ’63. For a number of years he was a pipe-fitter at NorShipCo then became a real estate broker and started his own business, Bennett Realty. Left to cherish his memory is his daughter Adrianne Bennett Wilson; brother Carlton F. Bennett; and grandson Charlie Wilson, all of Virginia Beach. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the loving care provided by the nursing staff at Consulate Health Care and Medi Home Health and Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, March 26, 2010 at Courthouse Community United Methodist Church, 2708 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23456 with a reception to follow at the home of Adrianne and Scot Wilson.
