Francisca F. Flora

Francisca Ferrer Flora, 93, peacefully went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2010. She was born on November 11, 1917 in Naguilian in the Philippines, the daughter of the late Andres and Martina Ferrer. Ansing was the bread winner and care taker of her brother and six sisters after her parents passed away. She was part of the first Lord of Pardon Prayer Group and a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church. Out of the 13 children that Ansing and her husband were blessed with there were four sets of twins. Ansing was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 34 years, Francisco A. Flora. Left to cherish her memory are sons, German and wife Lina, Victorio and wife Grecelda, Artemio and wife Lolita and Arturo and wife Mila; daughters, Aida Padilla and husband Roland, Imelda Flores and husband Efren and Lourdes Olivo and husband Romeo; 18 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren from the US, Canada and Philippines and many other loving relatives and friends. The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM Friday, December 10, 2010 in Smith and Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Road in Virginia Beach. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:00 AM Saturday, December 11, 2010 in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church 5345 Virginia Beach Boulevard in Virginia Beach. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park.
