Frances Walker

Lula Frances Walker, 77, passed away on August 22, 2022. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Robert and Ocelia Ayers. Frances worked as a deli manager at several grocery stores for over thirty years. Her work ethic was unmatched and she worked hard to create a life full of warm memories for her family. She was a caring, thoughtful person who always put her loved ones first. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, loyal to all, and fun to be around; with a smile that lit up the room. She will be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 63 years, Albert C. Walker, Jr.; son, Steven “Chancey” Walker; granddaughter, Brittany Walker; 2 sisters, Lois Crish and Doris Kelly; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Frances was predeceased by her daughter, Donna Kay Walker; 5 brothers; and 2 sisters. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Smith & Williams Funeral Home with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
