Frances Lorraine McBride

Lorraine McBride 98, passed away peacefully on May 9th 2024. Born in Powellsville, NC in 1925, she was predeceased by her Mother Lillian, Father David, Sisters Gertrude and Dorothy, Brother David and Husband of 55 years Tom. She was a member of Virginia Heights Baptist Church where she was church secretary for 23 years, and moving to the Eastern Shore with son Richard and daughter in-law Kimberly, she joined Cheriton Baptist Church. After retirement she began working as a volunteer at Sentara Leigh Hospital for 20 years. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling, growing flowers and sewing. She will be deeply missed. Lorraine is survived by her 2 sons, Michael of California and Richard (wife Kimberly) of the Eastern Shore, a daughter Judy Cassani (husband Rick) of Chesapeake, 4 Grandchildren: Toloff McBride of California, Stella Pate (husband Jason) of California, Dan Cassani of Florida, and Bill Cassani of Richmond, Great Grandson Buddy Pate of California and Great Granddaughter Lillian Lorraine of California.
