Frances Jeanette Cheezum

Jeanette Cheezum passed away in her sleep on July 21, 2024, after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Frances and James Becraft and sister of the late Lois Woodall.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Thomas Cheezum and daughters Pamela (Bobby), Melinda and Laura (Greg). She also leaves behind four grandchildren Matthew, Ryan, Stacy (Jesse) and Maeghan and three great grandchildren Draven (Mari), Lucan and Jaxson.
She loved to create and was the proud author of several books, poems and short stories and was very active with several on line writers’ groups. She knew no strangers and had a smile which lit up the room and drew people to her with whom she willingly shared her love and kind generous heart.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her in person and virtually.
Services will be at Rosewood - Kellum Funeral Home at 601 N. Witchduck Rd, Virginia Beach. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 28, from 2 - 4:00 p.m. and a funeral service will be on Monday, July 29 at 2:00 p.m, followed by burial in Rosewood Memorial Park.
