Eugene "Gene" Lee Allen

A Norfolk native Gene was preceded in death by his parents Roger Lee Allen, Betty Lee Allen and a brother Carl Wayne Allen.

Gene retired from Waymar Inc. as a Superintendent after twenty-seven years of service.

Survivors include his wife and best friend of twenty-six years Tiffany A. Horton-Allen; his children Gregory Eugene Allen and wife Whitney, Sarah Elizabeth Welsh and husband Christian, James Horton and wife Jessica, and Michael Allen; eight grandchildren Dominic Brown, Rin Allen, Reid Welsh, Lucas Welsh, Julianne Horton, Jordyn Horton, Jameson Horton and Jeremiah Horton; two sisters Mary Lou Matthews and husband Mike and Karen Williams and husband George; a sister-in-law Phylytha Brockett and two brothers-in-law Warren C. Scott, Jr. and David Deane.

A Celebration of Gene’s Life will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 6:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home by Celebrant Sondra Holmes. A reception will follow in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
